Sree Cavuturi

Hi, I'm Sree, an Arts and Sciences student, and currently the Social Secretary at MODO. In my first year, I had the pleasure of serving as an Editing Executive, which introduced me to the creative and collaborative spirit that defines the society.

Over the past two years, MODO has become a meaningful part of my university life. From working alongside a dedicated committee to welcoming new members into our community, every experience has deepened my love for the society. This year, I was also involved in the Fashion Show, gaining insight into its execution from both a committee and participant perspective. Next year, I plan on working  alongside with committee to ensure that we maintain a strong focus on inclusivity, ensuring MODO continues to be a safe, expressive, and inspiring space for all.

I would like to introduce:
Mindful Fashion Conversations, where we can have casual discussion circles on topics like body image in fashion, navigating creative burnout, or how identity and fashion intersect.

Anonymous Feedback Form: Open year-round for members to share any issues (stress, accessibility needs etc.)

Decompression Nights: After big shoots or show days, organize low-pressure events like journaling cafes, or crafts, to relax and connect.

I've grown so much personally and creatively through MODO, I would love the opportunity to give back in my final year by helping lead, support, and uplift the society that has meant so much to me.

Stefania Athanasopoulou

Having formed part of the MODO community this past year as production executive, I would love to be involved in the committee again and ensure that everyone has the best experience they can in MODO. <3

Yvette Cheng

Hi, I’m Yvette Cheng, a second-year Civil Engineering student, and I’m applying for Welfare Officer because I care deeply about how fashion affects wellbeing—from mental health to identity to cultural representation.

With experience as a tutor, private chef, and small business owner, I bring quiet strength: empathy, calm organisation, and behind-the-scenes care. I’m not loud, but I lead by listening, uplifting, and building systems that support others.

I’m passionate about second-hand fashion, sustainability, and how clothing reflects class, race, gender, and history—especially in media. I want MODO to be a space where members feel confident, included, and free to express themselves.

My vision includes:

  • Fashion & identity prompts – Reflective questions to spark conversation around style, culture, and self-image
  • Costume & culture film nights – Films with post-screening chats on fashion’s social impact
  • Story-swap vintage events – Clothing swaps where each piece carries a story
  • Taste & textile evenings – Cultural food + fashion meetups for relaxed bonding
  • Content creation workshops – Panels & skill-building sessions with creatives to empower members online, with regular check-ins

Let’s build a kinder, more connected MODO—together.
