Hiii! I’m Angelina, currently a second-year student and proud member of UCLWFC. I’ve really cherished my time in the club, and I’m now excited to run for Volunteering Secretary. I believe that beyond football, we grow strongest as a community when we support and uplift one another. I’d love to help organise meaningful volunteering events that bring us closer together, spread kindness, and remind us of the joy in giving back. Let’s continue building a team that’s not just about goals, but also about heart. <3

Hi everyone!

I’m standing for volunteering secretary because I’ve loved being part of this society this year—from the laughs at training to the lovely socials— & I’d love to help us share the energy beyond the pitch. We haven’t had any volunteering events yet, & I think it's a great idea we can take advantage of!

I’ve organised charity fundraisers before, so I’d be excited to hit the ground running with initiatives that not only let us give back, but also bring us closer as a team. Volunteering can be such a rewarding & memorable experience, especially with people you enjoy being with. I think it would be a great way for us to make new memories outside of football, & create even stronger bonds as a club, while supporting causes that matter to us. I’d make sure the planning’s smooth & the vibe stays fun, so that everyone is having a good time. Some of the ideas I have include:

  • A charity football match with other societies to raise money for a chosen cause
  • Running team volunteering days at a local shelter
  • Hosting inclusive football sessions for kids / underrepresented groups
  • Creating a “cause of the month” spotlight to raise awareness & get involved
  • Combining volunteering with socials, where we volunteer then go for food/drinks

These would be a great way for us to spend more time together off the pitch, try something new & make a real difference as a team. Together we can strengthen our club culture, make a positive impact & have loads of new experiences along the way. Thank you!
