Anthropology Society: Treasurer

Hi everyone! Hope all your deadlines are going well.

I’m Louise, and I’d love to be your Treasurer for AnthSoc 2025/26.

My top priority is keeping the society active, fun, and financially secure, and I’m excited about the opportunity to help us grow and thrive next year. I’m a very social person and love meeting new people, something I think is especially important for a Treasurer in a smaller society. I’m also definitely a planner and all my friends know this about me! I’m highly organised, detail-oriented, and absolutely not afraid of spreadsheets (two years of archaeology modules will do that to you). Hopefully the fact that I’ve been trusted to hold everyone's fishing gear says something about my reliability too!

I want to make sure our budget goes toward events and opportunities that actually matter, both for us and for future members. I’ve previously been involved with the Students’ Union as a Transition Mentor, and in first year I was the Academic Rep for Arch & Anth. I’m not shy about double-texting (or, in this case, double-emailing) if it means getting things done, so I’m confident I can be transparent about finances, communicate clearly, and work closely with the rest of the committee to support our shared goals.

I’m committed to keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes, so we as students can all enjoy AnthSoc without the money stress.
