Anime Society: Band Leader/Performance Officer

My name is Angus. Currently I am a first-year studying Applied Medical Sciences, and I am running for Band Leader/Performance Officer of CYK – UCL Anisoc’s band. I’ve been helping within the band as subcommittee over the past year and have performed at the band’s January live.

I joined the band because I enjoy J-pop and anime music and wanted to use my musical skills to perform and to share my passion with others. As such, over the coming year I plan to boost the band’s reputation and create more performance opportunities for all our passionate and talented members.

I envision that the band will perform 2-4 times a year around these times: Welcome week, Christmas, Easter, and after exams. We may also host more casual music events across the year in conjunction with the rest of Anisoc, as well as participate in external events with other anime bands such as those in the London Anime Union.

I will also work with the rest of Anisoc committee to promote the band and recruit new performers.
