Ultimate Frisbee Club: Social Secretary

I am running for this position because I would love to contribute to this Club because it has genuinely enriched my experience at UCL thus far. 

Amidst the hectic academic week, getting to know my teammates and fellow Club members has always been a highlight and I really am grateful to be part of such a loving and supportive community. The past trips that I've had with the Women's Outdoors BUCS team and Mixed Indoor squad around the UK have been so fun and I've really loved getting to know the teams and their antics. 

I am confident I have the skillset to organise and execute the slayest socials, having organised a joint social with Imperial, Games Night at Mixed Indoor Regionals and a Diwali Social after Men's Indoor Regionals. While I do have many more creative social ideas up my sleeve, I am open to taken on suggestions that anyone has and vet them through the Committee so we can balance safety, inclusion, fun and friendship-making! 

Hi, I’m Megan! I am excited to run for ultimate frisbee’s social secretary because of my passion to foster a vibrant and bonded community within the club.

My genuine enthusiasm for event planning, positions me to create social gatherings that resonate with the diverse interests and preferences of each member. (Yes, I am aware that ulti frisbee does not like clubbing) I whole-heartedly believe in a tightly-knit community as it is not only a source of support during challenging matches, but also adds layers of joy and camaraderie to our shared journey.

As social secretary, I aim to amplify this spirit by curating events and organising meaningful social gatherings to cultivate an environment where every member feels valued, understood and motivated to contribute their best to the team. I see an opportunity to make a significant impact on the welfare of all our members, beyond the realm of the playing field.

Just like an enzyme, I want to be a catalyst for creating memories and lasting bonds within the club. :)
