Having been thoroughly impressed by past issues of the Bentham Digest the Philosophy Society, I’m eager to be more involved with both this year. I’m a keen reader of Philosophy and fiction, a big fan of film, music, and art, all of which are often what inspires the philosophical writing that is submitted to the Digest. I hope my wide range of interests within the realm of the role means, if given the opportunity, I will be able to work with the team to present your work in a way that is both sensitive and approachable - and also fun to look at!

I do not hesitate to communicate concerns, voice ideas, and actively listen to the suggestions of others. In my role as Philosophy Academic Representative during sixth form, I also worked in teams that pushed beyond the curriculum and offered those interested in the subject from those outside the department a platform to explore their interest. Building on this experience, I would be keen to make the Digest even more tailored to its readers and accessible to those with non-philosophy backgrounds. I’d do this by suggesting that we include relevant watch/podcast/reading lists in each issue to support readers from all disciplines in developing their interest in philosophy, hopefully giving the magazine an even more active feel!

I'm committed to diligently working to take what is already a great publication to the next level of inclusivity and fun.
