The jazz tour last year was wild and I would absolutely love to this year's to be the same.

I believe the administrative and organizational experience that will be necessary for coordinating all aspects of the tour while fostering a really great time. As some know, this past year I've partaken in a few assistant production roles (I schedule things wow!), devloping skills in fast paced management which will be useful for organizing a tour itinerary. This current year, I am producing the jazz show (buy tickets!), which has not only aided my competence in professional liasing, large scale event coordination, and budget management, but has just made me love this society and learn how to balance professionalism with a bit of chaos.

There are already a few ideas coming together so hopefully we'll have somewhere to start. As I am also assisting in organzing a possible tour for Live Music, I hope that Live Music and Jazz will have a chance to work together so being a part of both processes will help with that (no promises though). Hope this year's tour is as fun, amazing, and unhinged as the last!

Marina Solomatina

Hey, I’m Marina. I like exiting summer plans, group discounts and jazz! I also am really good at researching festivals (procrastinating) and generating polite emails with GPT!

I believe that jazz musicians deserve a tour this year, and after all the jams and concerts played, we’ll definitely have tunes to perform!

I already have some destinations ideas, alphabetically ranging from Amsterdam to Vienna… running on the assumption that humans can survive a 12 hour bus trip (tested by last year’s Jazz Committee).

Organizing this jazz tour would allow me to show my fascination by the talented people I’ve met and friends I’ve made in the soc!

So… just let me take care of the boring part of this hilarious trip, vote, pay a bit, show up on time and have fun (in an obscure European village we pick)!
