Boat Club: Social Secretary

Hey everyone! I want to be social secretary because I think one of the key features of any sports team is the connections and friendships you make that can be fostered through social events. Even with the ergs, blisters, and early mornings, I keep coming back to rowing because of the community and the social aspects. I want to work towards making socials something that everyone on the team looks forward to and feels welcome to come to. Specifically, I will aim to get more women (novice and senior) to come out to socials. I also want to make sure there are more non-alcoholic socials for those who don’t drink, such as mini golf, movie nights, etc. So far this term, I have worked with Joe as an interim social sec, so I have experience in planning socials and hopefully can continue for the rest of the year!
