Lincoln Cheng

I’m Lincoln Cheng, and I’m excited to be running to be on the Volunteering Committee.

Leadership Background
After a rewarding journey in Model United Nations, where I served as President of the UCL United Nations Association and Secretary General of UCLMUN Edition X, I’m excited to bring my leadership experience to the Volunteering Society. Organizing large-scale events and fostering an inclusive community within MUN has equipped me with the skills to guide our society forward with dedication and vision.

My Vision as Welfare Officer
In the role of Welfare Officer, I aim to create a safe, inclusive space where members feel supported and cared for. My priorities would include:

Prioritizing Well-Being in Volunteering
Volunteering can be both rewarding and challenging. I will work to ensure that members have access to resources and support, balancing their commitment to service with their own well-being.

Open Communication and Feedback
I would make sure that members feel comfortable reaching out about any concerns or suggestions. Regular check-ins and open forums will be available, so every member has a voice in shaping our society’s welfare approach.

Creating a Culture of Care
Through thoughtful programming and community-building activities, I aim to build a culture where members look out for one another. As Welfare Officer, I would focus on organizing well-being activities and casual social events where members can connect and relax outside of their volunteering efforts.
