Salsa Society: Performance Coordinator

Hi, my name is Yordan, and I am running for Performance Coordinator. I have been involved with Salsa and the society since I arrived at UCL in 2021, and it has been a big part of my (university) life since. I have experience in being on teams as I was on the (award-winning) bachata team in 2022-23, which was an amazing experience from which I learned a lot. Last year, while abroad I coordinated and choreographed my own salsa performance with a large team. In addition, I participated in the organisation of a larger showcase coordinating four salsa teams and additional guest performers. This academic year, I have been acting as interim performance coordinator, helping our team captains and choreographers in managing teams/auditions. As a member of this year's salsa team I am excellently placed to continue carrying this responsibility, with the strong relationships I have built within the committee.
