Live Music Society: Tech Officer

Hi, I’m Ronan and I’m running to be one of your Technical Officers this year!

I have thoroughly enjoyed my time with Live Music Society and want to work to improve the LM experience for members this year. Last year, I performed in Synthposium and Rockalicious with LM, and helped to mix sound for Rockalicious. As a musical director with UCL Musical Theatre, I also have extensive experience arranging the technical side of shows and liaising with Stage Crew. My in-depth experience with sound tech both within and outside of LM would aid me in running operations as Tech Officer.

As Tech Officer, I would organise the technical side of LM’s gigs/open mics and maintain equipment. I would also love to make an effort to get more people involved with tech this year, either informally or through a workshop programme. It’s such a fundamental element of music but is so often neglected in shows, and more musicians should understand how it all fits together.
