Hi! I’m running for events officer this year because I love book club, and I love events! I’m a fourth-year comparative literature student, so hopefully I know at least a little bit about books by now and I would love to use any of that knowledge to make book club even better! I’ve had lots of ideas for different events we could do (more socials, literary tours of London, theatre trips etc) and I would always be extremely open to any suggestions/ideas that you might have - whether it be for new events or the events we already hold. I’d like there to be something for everyone, regardless of if you’ve had time to do the reading. We're so lucky at UCL to be located in Bloomsbury, the literary centre of London, and I think we should really take advantage of that. Ever since joining book club, I look forward to Thursday every week, and it would be a real privilege to join the committee!
