Dilmeet Kapoor

I am passionate about bridging gaps in opportunity and access, particularly for students from state-educated backgrounds, and as a first generation university student myself. My experiences demonstrate this:

As a Wildhearts’ Global Youth Ambassador, I’ve led initiatives focused on diversity and inclusion, climate action, and delivering student support to 1000+ students during COVID lockdowns.
I independently collaborated with partnership managers of a charity to launch a Financial Education Scheme, raising awareness for financial literacy.
Created the Student Enrichment Initiative, independently delivering 200+ opportunities over 14 months, to help disadvantaged students.

This showcases that I can facilitate outreach, partnerships, and project management, qualities suitable for a Corporate Relations Officer.

Manuel Martello

I am a student from Milan who moved to London four years ago as an immigrant and non-English speaker. I attended a public school with limited resources and low academic results  (1% of students achieved AAB or higher during my graduation year), so I understand the issues faced by students from underrepresented backgrounds. On a personal note, I enjoy spending social time with friends and doing sports stuff, and love travelling as well whenever possible.

I consider myself an extroverted and proactive person, which immensely helps me with networking capabilities and finding new opportunities. My social skills have allowed me to connect with people in valuable ways, like when a fellow student introduced me to the K+ Widening Programme, which ultimately led me to apply to UCL. I believe this ability would make me a good fit for spotting funding opportunities, obtaining them from third parties, and smoothly organising events with sponsors.

Additionally, I’ll make sure to provide clear and consistent communication with the Student-Led Project Team. I am genuinely excited about the opportunity to contribute to the 93% Club, helping students from underrepresented backgrounds improve their prospects through strategic funding and purposeful events.
