Hey! UCL Surf Club is a passionate and inviting community, and we're crazy about all things surf. Open to all levels, from beginner to advanced, we pride ourselves in offering fantastic trips to some of the world's premier surfing locations, as well as consistent socials during term-time to keep up the wave-riding spirit.
From Tenerife to Taghazout, the trips offered by Surf Club are the perfect chance to get away from the intensities of study and enjoy the beach! Beginners and first timers have the chance to learn the basics with supervised lessons and more relaxed waves; for the intermediate and advanced, there will be ample opportunity to explore your own breaks (the usual go is to hire a car, or the hostel may provide one). There are usually three trips in the year: two during the reading weeks (November and February), and one after exams have finished and the summer sun comes out. These trips are the perfect way to travel and explore, so why not join us!
When not shredding waves in Portugal (i.e. term-time), we will also have plenty of socials so you can keep up to date with the crew. These are more often than not (beach) themed, so be prepared to bring out your best costume :)
