Hi everyone! UCL Nordic Society is a community of people who share an interest or background in the Nordic region: Denmark, Faroe Islands, Finland, Greenland, Iceland, Norway, Sápmi and Sweden. We come together to experience and learn about Nordic culture!

If you’re looking forward to learning more about the Nordic culture or you simply want to find a community that makes you feel more at home in London and UCL, we've got your back. Either way, our society is a great place to meet people and have fun Nordic style. We'll be hosting many different events this year. Keep your eyes peeled for local trips, pub quizzes, language and culture fikas, movie nights, career events and Christmas specials. Fika at Covent Garden Bageriet

A fika at the Swedish bakery Bageriet to get the reading week started! Then a walk around Covent garden :). We'll meet at the cafe at 2pm. Everybody's welcome as always!

Swedish Christmas Market

Join us for a visit to the Swedish Julmarknad (Christmas market) hosted and organised by the Swedish Church (6 Harcourt Street, W1H 4AG). There will be a lot of Swedish Christmas foods, glögg (mulled wine), and Christmas decorations!

We will travel there together, meeting at the main quad on campus at 13:30. It's a direct bus away, and we will arrive at the church at 14:00. You can also meet us

Norwegian Christmas Market

Join us for a visit to the Norwegian Julebasar (Christmas Bazaar) hosted and organised by the Norwegian Church in London (Albion St, SE16 7JB). There will be a lot of Norwegian Christmas foods and sweets, designs, and Christmas decorations! They also have a cafeteria where they will be selling Norwegian Christmas foods.

We will travel there together, meeting at the main quad on campus at 13:15.

Finnish Christmas Fair

Join us for a visit to the Finnish Joulumyyjäiset (Christmas Fair) hosted and organised by the Finnish Church in London (33 Albion St, SE16 7HZ). There will be a lot of Finnish Christmas foods and treats, Moomin memorabilia, and Christmas decorations! There is also a café where baked goods can be bought, and a grill where you can buy grilled foods.

Danish Christmas Fair

Join us for a visit to the Danish Christmas Bazaar hosted and organised by The Danish YWCA in London (43 Maresfield Gardens, NW3 5TF). There will be plenty of Danish Christmas foods and sweet, gløgg (mulled wine), and Christmas decorations!
