Welcome to the inaugural year of the Cheers & Beers Society!
London holds centuries of pub heritage, some of the finest cask ales, craft selections, and historic back rooms anywhere in the world. We are here to explore it all together. Whether you're a seasoned ale enthusiast or just looking for a low-pressure way to meet new people, our doors (as well as the best taprooms in London) are wide open.
What We Do
Our goal is to give you a relaxed and friendly space to socialise and connect with other students, while also exploring the craft behind the UK's beer scene along the way. Beyond just visiting, we run our own member-led pub journalism and reviews in hopes of documenting the city's best spots and crowning London's definite pints.
Our events come in three flavours:
- Visits to historically and culturally significant pubs both near campus and further out across London. Group rates and discounts make exploring London far more affordable than going solo.
- Alongside classic pub nights and trivia, we also feature board games, challenges, speed-friending and relaxed campus socials.
- Yearly trips abroad for an international beer culture excursion.
Everyone is welcome here, whatever your background or interests, and there is never any pressure to drink. Non-alcoholic options are available at every single one of our events.
