Calisthenics and street workout are disciplines of exercise that focuses on building strength and functional movement using minimal equipment and bodyweight training.
No Gym? No Problem!
Here at UCL Calisthenics Club, we are a community of friendly students who support and learn from each other in order to keep taking our training to the next level. Whether you have never done a sit-up in your life, are thinking of trying something new or supplementing your training, or have already mastered several tricks, UCL Calisthenics is the place for you.
We are one of the most cost-friendly sports societies ! £25 for the entire year giving you access to all our sessions , equipment , socials and other perks.
Whether your goals are to get started with fitness, build a better physique, or pull off some impressive moves, here we hope we can work towards those together.

FAQ's:
I am a complete beginner and can barely do a push up - can I still join the club ? Absolutely ! It doesn't matter what level you are - Calisthenics Club is a place for everybody. Also note that the majority of our new members are beginners !
How are sessions normally run ? Our sessions typically last for two hours at a nearby calisthenics park, starting with a dynamic group warm-up to get your muscles primed and ready. Afterward, you can either join a structured group workout led by one of our experienced committee members or pursue your own routine with guidance available from our training officers. We wrap things up with a collective stretching session to cool down and improve flexibility
Do I need to bring anything with me ? We recommend wearing comfortable clothing you don’t mind getting sweaty in! Bringing a water bottle is also a great idea to stay hydrated throughout the session
Do you provide equipment ? We provide the majority of equipment including : resistance bands , chalk , parallettes , gymnastic rings , dipping belts etc... but feel free to bring along your own equipment !
How do memberships work ? We offer a taster membership for people to trial our sessions for free within the first week post-freshers week . Otherwise you must purchase a normal membership that allows you to attend as many session throughout the academic year as desired.
What is METABOLIC ? METABOLIC is a calisthenics gym that we run our sessions in from November until March. It has an amazing abundance of facilities ranging from weight plates to treadmills to climbing ropes. A lot of our members enjoy training Weighted calisthenics at METABOLIC.
What is Sports night ? Sports night happens every Wednesday where sports societies will congregate together at Phineas Bar in the evening to socialise and have fun. This is typically followed by a trip to SCALA , one of the nightclubs that UCL students frequent.
