Students’ Union UCL Buddhist Society was founded in 2009 to offer UCL students the chance to experience Buddhist philosophy, ethics and meditation. Join us in our regular meetings to discuss topical issues and experience meditation! We also have one-off events including temple visits, socials and film nights. - So challenge your conceptual reality and meet like minded people. We welcome EVERYONE regardless of cultural or religious background to come and find out a bit more about Buddhism, and learn/practice meditation.

Introduction to Buddhist Practice and Philosophy

For our first event of the year, we are joined by Ratnaprabha. Ordained in the Triratna Buddhist community, he will be giving a guided meditation and leading a relaxed discussion of core Buddhist philosophy. We're open to all faiths and none, so if you're curious, please feel welcome to come.

The Psychodynamics in Meditation

In our next introductory event we will be listening to a talk from Rob Burbea, the late meditation teacher. As the resident teacher at Gaia House for many years, he pioneered a genuinely innovative approach to Buddhism. The event will consist of listening to a short talk, followed by a discussion and a social.
