What is Movember?
Every November, Students’ Union UCL joins the global Movember movement to raise awareness and funds for men’s health. Movember is a campaign which helps men live healthier, longer lives through supporting men's mental health, preventing prostate and testicular cancer, and suicide.
This year, we’re proud to support the campaign with events, challenges, and student-led fundraisers across campus - and we’d love for you to get involved.

All Jokes Aside
At TeamUCL, we want to rewrite the narrative. Our campaign 'All Jokes Aside' aims to support male-identifying students at UCL to meaningfully engage in activities to support their mental health and wellbeing.
Our activity programme supports male identifying students to build activity into their routine and feel better from it. Find out about the sessions, including a Walk and Talk group, club based activities, and weekly fitness classes.
UCL East Pottery Class x Movember
UCL East is teaming up with Movember for a special edition of our pottery class! What students are doing
Joe Lock and King Chalapati are leading on the UCL Movember Fundraising team, and have set up a UCL page dedicated to raising money and supporting the campaign. You can donate directly, or join the team to support men's mental health this year.

King Chalapati is running a half-marathon to rasie funds. He said: "Being at uni in London can be so incredibly fun but also so incredibly daunting – there’s so much to do and it gets very lonely when you don’t have a support system around you. I know just how much my friends helped me in times of need and I want to make sure that those who are struggling know they aren’t alone - and for those who want to support their friends to know how to!"
Joe Lock said: While growing a moustache is a bit of fun, the reason behind it couldn’t be more serious. I’m supporting Movember because I believe no man should have to suffer in silence when support is out there. Movember’s work in mental health, suicide prevention, and cancer awareness makes a huge impact, and it’s a cause that genuinely resonates with me. Seeing friends go through mental health challenges has shown me how vital it is to talk, check in, and support one another. Every small action can help change, and even save lives.
