Academic Reps do one of the most important jobs in the Union: They represent your academic interests and ensure students have a voice in enhancing their education.

For Term Two, we are showcasing our Academic Reps through our 'Academic Rep in focus' weekly segment. You can contact your Academic Rep using our 'Find Your Rep page'.

Academic Rep in Focus: Jiaxin Yu

Jiaxin is a Course Rep and MSc Digital Innovation Built Asset Management student in the Bartlett School of Sustainable Construction. Here's what Jiaxin got up to in Term One:

Hi, I'm Jiaxin (Vasilia), an Academic Student Rep for DIBAM at the Bartlett School of Sustainable Construction. I am enthusiastic and passionate, I always eager to take on opportunities that can enhance student experience. I am also outgoing and approachable. I enjoy meeting new people and communicating effectively with others.

Serving as a Course Rep has been a truly meaningful experience. Over the past few months, I’ve been actively working with my programme tutors to push for our course to gain accreditation. It’s also been rewarding to see how student voices can drive real change. I’m grateful for the opportunity to contribute to my course’s development and to support my peers in shaping a stronger academic future.

We'd like to thank Jiaxin for all of their hard work so far this academic year!
