Welcome to UCL’s Graphic Novels and Comics Society! We’re a community of comics lovers across all genres, mediums, and demographics. Whether it’s shoujo or shounen manga, graphic novels or webtoons, superhero comics or sunday strips, if you’re a comics fan, you’re in the right place.
GNCS hosts a variety of activities, such as writing and drawing workshops on making comics, discussion sessions for spontaneously going down rabbit holes, and weekly socials to unwind from the uni life. Whether you’re a creative who wants to make their own comic, a hardcore fan who wants to share his favorites with others, or just someone who has newly ventured into the world of comics; we will provide a friendly environment for you to nurture your interests.
For the coming year, we plan to have a taster membership and a standard membership. Once Welcome Week is over, taster members will only be able to attend socials unless they upgrade to a standard membership, which only costs £3. Moreover, standard members get to participate in the annual zine, where we showcase the society’s work over the year!
