🎬 Join Us for Film Screening Support with The New Black Film Collective in Stratford
Volunteers will play a crucial role in the successful execution of a film screening in Stratford. Responsibilities include seating guests, supporting contributors, checking in attendees, preparing the screening space, and engaging during the Q&A session.
The New Black Film Collective (TNBFC) is a nationwide network of film exhibitors, educators, and creators who celebrate and promote Black stories through cinema. They curate screenings, events, and community projects that champion diversity and representation in film.

Big Help Outs are fun one-off volunteering opportunities that involve a big group. It's all about small actions creating big change when we work together. At our events, you’ll always find friendly student and staff faces to make sure you feel welcome and supported.
💫 Why Join In?
Your support will help bring local residents together for a cultural and engaging community film event — celebrating diverse storytelling and connection through cinema.
To support your involvement, travel expenses will be reimbursed, and if you volunteer for more than six hours, lunch will be provided. (Note: The host organisation cannot reimburse travel for this event, but UCL Student Social Impact may cover this separately.)

To make it easier to get involved, you can travel to the event with a member of our team. This is a great way to meet fellow volunteers, make new friends, and arrive together.
