Join Us for a Festive Big Help Out with The Kindness Offensiveđ
Get hands-on and make a real difference in your local community this festive season in a Big Help Out event with The Kindness Offensive.
This will be a day of gift-wrapping and delivering tens of thousands of toys to charitites and good causes across Barking & Dagenham, London, and beyond. Volunteers will be assigned roles on arrival so you might get involved in wrapping gifts, helping with logistics, or packing. In the afternoon, thereâs also the chance to visit a local school with the Charity Hub team.
You will have selection of three shift times:
11:00 - 13:00
11:00 - 15:00
11:00 - 17:00
𧀠Whatâs a Big Help Out?
Big Help Outs are fun, one-off volunteering opportunities designed to bring groups together to make a big impact. At our events, youâll find friendly student and staff faces to make sure you feel welcome, supported, and part of a community effort.
đ„ Why Join in?
By volunteering, youâll be helping ensure that children and families in the local community receive gifts this festive season, while experiencing the joy of giving and teamwork.
To support your involvement, travel expenses will be reimbursed, and if you volunteer for more than six hours, lunch will be provided.
đ Meet-Up Point
To make it easier to get involved, you can travel to the event with a member of our team. This is a great way to meet fellow volunteers, make new friends, and arrive together. Full details of the meeting location and travel arrangements will be shared with registered participants closer to the event.
Bloomsbury Meet Point: Ground Floor Bloomsbury Theatre Building at 9:20am
UCL East Meet Point: Ground Floor, Marshgate Cafe, UCL East Marshgate at 9:20am
Please note: We will leave the Meet Point at 9:30 so please get there on time, if you do not want to meet together then you can meet us directly at the Location

- Gift-wrap & Pack: Help wrap, sort, and prepare gifts for delivery.
- Logistics Support: Assist with organising and moving items to make the process smooth.
- Community Visit: Optional school visit in the afternoon to see the impact of your contributions.
