You want to make a difference but don't know how. We're here to change that.

As an individual, taking social action or making a difference can feel overwhelming, difficult and lonely. There are so many things to care about and so little time. Where do you start? How do you know what to do? What if you don't want to do it alone?

That's why we're here to help. As veterans of social impact, our team will help you to find your cause, connect with your community and make a difference. 

Across this interactive and supportive 1.5h workshop, you'll learn how to:

1. Understand how to find a cause that you care about
2. Understand what meaningful social action looks like
3. Explore how you could take this action
4. Understand what your next steps are

FAQs

What if I don't know anything about social impact?

That's okay! This workshop is entirely designed for beginners, and we're here to support you the whole way.

I already know what I care about and have some experience contributing to social causes. Would this still be useful for me?

Absolutely! While our workshop is beginner friendly, we'll also dive into frameworks around collective action and social justice to help you deepen your focus and understanding. Plus, it's an opportunity to grow your social impact community and make new friends and allies in your work.

I'm a bit nervous. What if I don't know anyone?

All of our events are designed to support you to find your community here at UCL. It's really normal not to know anyone, and our super friendly team will be on-hand to make you feel comfortable and included the whole way. Plus, there's no expectation to talk if that isn't your thing. There's plenty of space for those who want to sit and listen.

I have an access need that's not covered by your event description. What should I do?
