Come along and join in with a Ceilidh hosted by the Caledonian Society to sign off the end of Welcome week.
Ceilidh is a type of Scottish folk dance designed to be beginner friendly! It’s composed of group dances mainly in pairs, with lots of skipping, hopping and spinning. If you've ever seen 'Titanic' or 'Anne with an E', then you may be familiar with the ceilidh concept.
This particular ceilidh has gender-free calling, so anyone can dance with whoever and in whatever role they like, and we operate a refusal without protest attitude to dancing partners, so everyone is as comfortable as possible.
