We are going to Swanage on the South Coast for our first big hike of the year! Make a note in your calendars!
Swanage is a small town on the picturesque Jurassic Coast in the south of England, with forests, stunning cliffs and a ruined castle nearby.
Tickets are NOT OUT YET! Thank you for your patience and we hope you are as excited as us about this trip! They will hopefully be released midday on Saturday.
When are we going?
Friday 4th December (evening) - Sunday 6th December
Where will we be staying?
YHA Hostel Swanage! The whole hostel will be ours (plenty of space, lovely Victorian house!)
20 Cluny Crescent, Swanage, Dorset, BH19 2BS
How big will our group be?
25 people!!! This is a great chance to bring your friends on an affordable hike and to meet new friends!
What will we be doing?
Hiking!
We will plan moderate hikes for the Saturday and Sunday, approximately 15 km on flat terrain each day.
There will be simulations of emergency situations throughout, plenty of learning opportunities!
What will we be eating?
We will provide some food, including a vegetarian dinner on Saturday night for everyone!
How are we getting there and back?
Train from London Waterloo in the evening (no need to skip lectures hopefully). Flixbus (super cheap!!) back to London Victoria.
We will send info out on the Whatsapp groupchat as soon as tickets go out. We will give details of the transport you can book.
How much will this trip cost?
The total will be £137:
Tickets on the Student Union website will be £100.
We will ask you to book transport yourselves (we will advise on which train and Flixbus times to book), this will be £37 if you book the cheapest tickets ahead of time.
