Queer Britain Visit

Journey through queer culture and heritage at Queer Britain with the LGBTQ+ Network. Meeting outside the Print Room Café, we will walk towards King's Cross St Pancras, where the museum is located and enter. It will last around 40 minutes, with the rest of the time allocated to walking between UCL and the venue. The main gallery presents six new themed displays that tell the stories of the Black Lesbian and Gay Centre, AIDS Quilt 23, Justin Fashanu, Women's Liberation Music, Club Kali, and Dora Carrington and Lytton Strachey. There are also special exhibitions such as Trans is Human: "Produced by Jake and Hannah Graf, Trans Is Human features 13 striking portraits by world-renowned photographer Mariano Vivanco, giving visibility to trans+ people from across the UK and celebrating the people beyond the narratives so often imposed upon them".

After our visit, you may be inclined to spend the rest of your time exploring nearby Coal Drops Yard. However, there will be a walking tour to the Shotengai Pan-Asian Market the next day.

Tickets are limited, as the museum only has a small group of volunteers, so it cannot handle large groups.
