SkyGarden

Sky Garden is London's highest public garden, sitting at the top of 20 Fenchurch Street — affectionately known as the Walkie Talkie building — in the heart of the City. Occupying the building's top three floors at 155 metres above street level, it offers some of the most spectacular 360-degree panoramic views of London available anywhere in the capital, entirely free of charge.

The garden itself is a lush, landscaped space filled with tropical and mediterranean plants, creating a genuinely verdant environment that contrasts beautifully with the steel-and-glass cityscape visible through the vast curved windows. Whether you're gazing out over the Thames, the Tower of London, St Paul's Cathedral, or the Shard, the views are consistently breathtaking at any time of day.

Please note that photo ID is required to enter Sky Garden. Visitors must bring a valid form of photo identification — such as a passport, driving licence, or national identity card — which will be checked on arrival. Entry is free but must be booked in advance online, and slots fill up quickly, so booking ahead is strongly recommended.

Inside, visitors can also enjoy a range of dining and drinking options, from a brasserie and bar to a more casual café, making it easy to linger and make an afternoon or evening of the visit. Sunrise and sunset are particularly popular times, when the light across the city skyline is at its most dramatic.

A genuinely unmissable London experience, and one of the best free attractions the city has to offer — just remember your ID.
