UCL Special Collections are hosting an Hands-On with History: UCL Special Collections on the new UCL East campus in Stratford. Open and free to everyone, it is a great opportunity to learn what special collections are, to discover some of our impressive collections of rare books and archives and to meet the friendly team working as archivists, rare books librarians, educators and conservators!
Two timeslots are available: 11:30am and 12:30pm. Please book one of the time slots and turn up of the chosen time slot at the entrance of Marshgate. Our team will meet you there at the very start of each of those time slots to help you with signing in to enter the campus and walking through to the Culture Lab.
Please be on time for the chosen time slot. There will be a cut off time for entrance. If you are late, please arrive within the first 15 minutes of your hour slot, as we will not be able to let anyone in after that unfortunately.
This event will be held in UCL East's Culture Lab, a teaching and exhibition space which works with collections from UCL and beyond to support and nurture a new generation of curators. Please note food, drink, and bags are not allowed in the Culture Lab. Lockers are available for everyone to put bags in, and the entire area is secure.
There will be photography at this event, please tell us on arrival if you would prefer that you are not in any photographs taken.
