Want to explore International Festival and meet other Postgrads?
Join us for International Festival guided tour where we will be exploring and celebrating the cultures, communities and experiences that make UCL what it is. 🌍
You'll meet your group on the Main Quad at 1:00pm for a quick speedfriending before heading through International Festival together.
You'll browse market stalls, catch live student performances, relax and unwind in our Hygge Room and end the time together at our international food market back in the Main Quad.

This event is apart of Discover London, hosted by Students' Union UCL, your go-to-place for exploring London, meeting new people, and trying experiences you might not have found on your own!
- Where and when do we meet for the event?
Please meet outside on the Main Quad 1pm in front of the Portico. There will be a Discover London guide there waiting for you (they usually will be wearing Purple t-shirts!). Please do make sure to arrive on time, as the group will leave the meeting point about 15 minutes after the event start time.
- What's included in this event?
Discover London events are lead by our student guides. They will first will help you get to know the other students on your tour before taking your group through the different activities happening at International Festival.
There are some great freebees up for grabs at International Festival that our guides will show you, but if you'd like to purchase any of the things at the market or at food stalls in the Main Quad, that is up to you!- Can I come to this event alone?
Definitely, we even encourage it! This event is created for you to meet new people and build new connections. This event is only for Postgraduate students.
We start each event with our guides facilitating a quick speedfriending to help you get to know the people in your group.- What is speedfriending?
Speedfriending is a fun, low-pressure way to meet new people.
You’ll be paired up with someone for a few minutes of conversation, then when the time is up, you move on to meet someone new. We’ll provide conversation starters, so you don’t have to worry about what to say.
No pressure, no awkward group introductions, just a quick way to get to know lots of people before making new memories together!
