Our Prevention and Intervention team is running a series of relaxed, creative workshops for students who have experienced sexual or gender-based violence at any point in their lives.
Together, we’ll use a range of creative activities to explore the different ways we can stay grounded, helping you build a personal toolkit of techniques, self-care practices and sources of comfort. No artistic experience is needed, and you will not be asked to share any personal experiences.
Whilst these workshops might provide therapeutic benefits, we want to be clear that these sessions are not intended to act as a therapeutic support group for processing experiences. Instead, these are spaces to spend time with other students, connect through creativity, and take part in low-pressure activities focused on grounding, wellbeing and community.
We encourage you to join us for the whole series, however you are also more than welcome to just attend one or those which suit you. Click here to explore the other sessions in this series.
We know the winter period can be difficult for many different reasons, including the change in weather (the cold in the UK!), pressure to socialise, spending time with family or experiencing a sense of loneliness. At the same time, winter can be a time to pause, rest and recover.
In this session, we will create a Winter Wellbeing Jar over a warm drink, with blankets and cushions to get warm and cosy. We will fill our jars with supportive reminders and resources for the months ahead.
