The evening will begin with a Speed Friending session, giving you the chance to meet fellow students before we head to the iconic Royal Opera House. Never seen a ballet before? Don't worry, this is a great place to start! With incredible sets and costumes, this is an easy to follow story and comforting watch, guaranteed to get you in the festive spirit!
The Story
At a cosy Christmas party, young Clara meets the mysterious magician Drosselmeyer, who gives her a nutcracker doll. When the guests have departed and the house is asleep, Clara sneaks downstairs in search of her favourite gift. Instead, she finds Drosselmeyer, who whisks her away on a journey into a whole world of enchantment: fantastical landscapes of flurried snow and glittering confection where toys come alive and the magic never stops.

Please note: all seats are in the upper slips. You must be able to attend the Speedfriending session and collect your ticket beforehand in order to take part in this event. Tickets are limited, so be sure to book early!
Trip Schedule:
- 5-6pm: Speedfriending and ticket collection, room 211A
- 6-6:30: Travel to the Royal Opera House
- 7:30pm: Show begins
