Ever wanted to perform in a play? Want to experience being on the stage without the pressure? Interested in exploring Shakespeare? This one is for you!
This is a one-week beginner friendly intensive, exploring the craft of acting. Under the expert guidance of actor Oscar Batterham, you’ll work together on a piece which will be performed in the Bloomsbury Theatre Studio on the final day as part of the artsUCL Fringe Festival.
The intensive will run from 10am to 4pm each day and will take place in the Bloomsbury Theatre Rehearsal Room. On the final day, students will also have time in the Studio for rehearsals and a technical run ahead of the performance, which will take place from 5pm to 6pm. All participants will receive one complimentary ticket for the show for a friend or family member.
Please note, you must be available for the entirety of this intensive to take part.
- Who is it for?
This workshop is open to all UCL students - no theatrical experience is required. All that is necessary is curiosity and a willingness to play.

Having trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama (Gold Medal for Acting, 2015), Oscar brings experience from the West End and television to his welcoming and lively actingUnlocked sessions.
