Join us for an inspiring evening at the Women in STEM Society’s PhD Panel Talk  where we bring together three brilliant PhD researchers from UCL to share their academic journeys, the passions behind their work, and their experiences navigating life in research.

Our speakers come from diverse fields — Astrophysics and Chemistry — and will discuss topics ranging from modelling star and planet-forming regions, to the behaviour of polymeric nanoparticles, to understanding how galaxies evolve across cosmic time. They’ll share insights into what motivated them to pursue a PhD, the challenges and breakthroughs they’ve encountered along the way, and their advice for students considering postgraduate study.

This is a fantastic opportunity to:
✨ Learn what research looks like day-to-day
✨ Hear about cutting-edge science directly from current PhD students
✨ Ask questions about applications, funding, research life, and work–life balance
✨ Connect with a supportive community of women in STEM

📅 Monday 1st December
⏰ 17:00–18:30
📍 Torrington Place (1–19), B08

Whether you're thinking about doing a PhD someday or simply curious about their research, everyone is welcome! Come along, get inspired, and meet some incredible researchers 💛
