Welcome to Freshers' Day at the River, hosted by RUMS Boat Club!
Who are we?
RUMS is the medical school's association that looks after the medics at UCL. Here at RUMS Boat Club, we row both for fun and competitively, and the club is open to ALL UCL students, regardless of whether you are a medic or not!
We are one of the most popular (and most fun!) RUMS Sports Clubs, with a range of socials, races, tutorials, and more on offer! From winning medals to putting on the best socials in RUMS - we have it all! We would love to have you as part of our big RUMSBC Family!
What is Freshers' Day at the River (FDATR)?
FDATR is a FREE opportunity for student freshers to come along for a taster session with us to learn how to row and to get to row on the River Thames! (As well as a FREE BBQ too!)
It is one of the biggest fresher taster events out of all of the RUMS Sports available! We understand that it can be a bit daunting trying something new, especially as someone new to University. FDATR is there for you to be able to try something new, surrounded by those in a similar position, where you can make friends for life on this very day!
It is a fun opportunity to meet the committee and the members of our club, make some new connections, and learn a new skill!
Who can come along?
Anyone! Primarily, this is aimed at freshers, especially medics, but we love to welcome anyone interested (even if you aren't a medic)!
