East London Dance is here to champion and grow east London’s dance scene.
East London Dance (ELD) has been a pioneer in dance for 37-years. We empower children and young people (CYP), dance artists, choreographers, producers and east Londoners aged 4-94+ to express their creativity, build confidence, gain professional opportunities and inspire positive change. Each year we engage over 2,600 people in free and low-cost dance programmes that improve mental health, raise aspirations and strengthen communities.
Our core aims are to:
- Nurture and champion the next generation of underrepresented dance talent and creative leaders from East London.
- Ensure our home Talent House is an accessible creative home for dance creatives and east Londoners.
- Provide artistic, business and wellbeing support to emerging dancers, choreographers and producers to develop sustainable careers.
- Use dance as a catalyst for social change, connecting communities to amplify east London’s rich cultural identity.
