Are you a good listener? Can you empathise with the struggles of other people? Then this role may be for you! We currently have a few UCL students in this role and they are doing a great job reaching out to our clients. We are looking for enthusiastic and empathic volunteers who likes a chat but are even better at listening and picking up on the subtleties that may indicate that someone isn't doing so well. Your role will be to phone Age UK Islington clients and do a wellbeing check; sometimes this will only be a quick two minutes chat, other times the conversations will go on for a much longer time. You will record information from the chat on our CRM system using the client's own words, escalating to other services and managers when necessary.
As a wellbeing caller, you will phone clients of Age UK Islington (AUKI) to complete a wellbeing check, log details from the call on our CRM system, and flag up anyone that may need more assistance or further access to services.
