The New Black Film Collective
At The New Black Film Collective (TNBFC) we exist to create and cultivate a vibrant Black ecosystem in the UK film and TV sector by championing Black-led film production, distribution, exhibition and preserving Black filmmaking and television.
Description

TNBFC and Film London are proud to present PictureEast, an exciting free film festival taking place in Newham and Barking & Dagenham from January 20  to February 1, 2026, across various local venues. PictureEast Film Festival is designed to celebrate the vibrant diversity of the borough through film, offering a platform for local artists and filmmakers while allowing audiences to connect with and appreciate one another's cultures.

Volunteers play a crucial role in our event's success, enhancing the experience for both our audience and participants. If you are passionate about film festivals and diversity, we would love to hear from you! Volunteer roles may include hospitality, greeting guests, providing information and assisting with specific sessions.

We will reimburse travel expenses for public transport within London Zones 1-6 and provide food and beverages for our volunteers. This is a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the festival's excitement while enjoying the films and events we curate.
