Our goal is to help families protect themselves from online harms. These range from hacks and scams to online grooming and the psychological effects of AI chatbots.
Marketing and communication are the core of what we do, and the Marketing and Communication Strategist will help us to improve the effectiveness of our messaging and presentation.
Our target is vulnerable groups (young, old, and those with limited English) across Greater London. Direct messaging to those who need the information is difficult, so we also need to partner organisations with local knowledge. Teachers are other intermediaries we need to communicate with. Communication with funders, as well as with our volunteers, and any PR that we are able to do will also be within the scope of this role.
You will help us launch key initiatives that will take our public education campaign to a new level. We need someone to lead our internal discussion about the emotional framing of our messages, to make sure that our CTAs will be effective.
You'll help us to harmonise visual elements across our web site, leaflets, cards, and give-aways such as fridge magnets. We also need to develop effective new marketing channels and promotional materials (on a very limited budget).
The biggest current issue is the choice of a social media platform appropriate to our audience. The launch, and ongoing management must ensure that it is sustainable. If successful, a social media presence should enable us to reach an audience that may never see our website.
