Our Digital Clinics are designed to support over 55s Kensington & Chelsea residents who feel isolated and digital excluded. By teaching basic IT skills, you empower them to join group activities and stay in touch with loved ones.
What you’ll do:
- Provide 1-on-1 support for laptops, tablets, and smartphones.
- Troubleshoot basic tech issues in a friendly, "drop-in" environment.
- Help users feel confident using digital cameras and apps.
Your Duties & Responsibilities
- Greet attendees as they arrive at the library, making them feel comfortable and assessing what they need help with that day.
- Guide members through tasks such as setting up an email, using WhatsApp to message family, navigating the internet safely, or transferring photos from a digital camera.
- Instead of just "fixing" the device, you will show the member how to do it themselves to build their long-term confidence.
-
Encourage members to use their devices to find and join local group activities, helping to reduce their sense of isolation.
You will be supported by our team to ensure you feel confident in your role and have all the tools you need to help our members effectively.
