St Joseph's Hospice
Founded in 1905 by the Sisters of Charity, St Joseph’s Hospice is one of the oldest and largest hospices in the UK.
Description

We are looking for volunteers to help run our Five Sisters Café which is located in our Community Hub, on the ground floor of the Hospice. Our café sells a range of freshly made sandwiches, snacks, and hot meals. Hot and cold drinks also served

 

Duties

Key Tasks

  • Serving customers in a warm and welcoming manner
  • Assisting the catering team in the day to day running of the café
  • Able to handle and prepare simple foods for customers (training provided)
  • Able to take orders, operate the till and handle money
  • Using light cooking equipment for our in house grab & go selection. (training provided)
  • Keeping shelves stocked up, clearing, and cleaning tables

Food Safety Level 2 certificate (support provided- doesn't take long)

Time commitment

The café is open Monday to Friday from 7:30pm to 5pm. We are currently looking to cover the following shifts:

2pm-5pm Monday to Friday
