Last year alone, students across UCL helped save over 1,100kg of reusable items from landfill, preventing almost 6 tonnes of CO2e emissions. That’s equivalent to planting nearly 100 trees!
These items were redistributed to incoming students and local charities, reducing waste, supporting the community, and giving perfectly usable things a second life.
This summer, you can make an even bigger impact.
Join fellow students from Sustainable Move to help sort donations for incoming students and local charities as part of UCL’s Reuse Scheme.
About Sustainable Move
Sustainable Move is a student organisation with a vision: “A world where we see resources, NOT waste!” We aim to redefine the traditional boundaries between resources and waste, and revolutionise the reuse culture in universities. We have worked with major universities (including UCL and University of London) as well as private accommodations to redistribute surplus items to those who would benefit from them.
