Our Campus Run 2026: The Highlights

Set against the backdrop of one of London’s most iconic sporting venues, this year’s event once again highlighted the vibrant and inclusive nature of the UCL community. Whether walking, jogging or running, every participant had their own reason for taking part - to push themselves, connect with others or simply for the challenge and experience.

The start

Registration with UCL’s delivery partner, RunThrough, was underway early in the day, as runners checked in, collected their bibs and prepared for the challenge ahead. The event welcomed participants from across our UCL community, with runners signing up both individually and in groups.

It created a start line made up of all kinds of stories: first-time runners, experienced racers, staff teams and student societies, all brought together by one event. The UCL mascot Beartham was also on hand throughout the day, bringing extra energy to the event and posing for photos with runners and supporters alike.

As the start time approached, runners took part in a group warm-up led by the fantastic Dona Kahawe from UCL gym before setting off on either a 5km or 10km course, making their way around the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

Post-run celebrations

After crossing the finish line, the celebrations continued at Riverside East, where we came together for a post-run social and enjoyed a free drink, rounding off the afternoon with a chance to relax and celebrate their achievements together.

Delivered in partnership with RunThrough, our UCL Campus Run once again demonstrated the power of sport to bring people together. Whether you came to compete, connect or challenge themselves, the event delivered something for everyone - leaving many already looking ahead to next year’s run.

See you next year - for another lap, another challenge and an even bigger cheers!
