There are plenty of opportunities to get involved with tennis this term — whether that’s competing in matches and leagues, volunteering, developing your coaching skills through workforce learning, or joining our beginner and intermediate coaching sessions.

Learning to Play Tennis

Beginner coaching sessions

Padel Beginner classes
Join Sam Bracken at the new House of Racket Padel courts which is only (10 minute) walk from campus. Each Wednesday 2-3pm. Click here to show your interest for the sessions.
Wheelchair Tennis Coaching
Wheelchair Tennis coaching weekly at Lee Valley Tennis Centre. Sessions will take place on Wednesdays from 4-6 each week. Show your interest here

Tennis (Pay and Play)

Pay and Play Tennis sessions are designed for anyone to turn up to some courts and borrow rackets and balls to have a hit with friends. Click here

Masterclass (Pay and Play)

Tennis Masterclass sessions are weekly and focus on a specific shot each week and is aimed at all levels- helping students and staff get more confident in their ability. Sessions will be held on Tuesdays at 6-7.

Tennis Volunteering / coaching

St Pancreas Community Association Weekly tennis sessions for the local community a stones throw away from campus. The sessions will be led by Sam Bracken who will support your development as a activator. The courts are 13 minutes walk from campus. Sessions will be 4-5 every Monday. Show interest here

Regents High School back for the second year of delivering an after school club for year 7- 10 students. The school is located 10 minutes walk from campus. 3:30 to 4:30 each Thursday of term 3. Email [email protected] if you are interested. Show interest here

Play your way to Wimbledon at Finsbury park. Organising a LTA event for junior players and adult players who will compete in both singles and doubles. Date 10th May. Show interest here

Coaching the coach- Join Sam Bracken, who leads you to improve your tennis coaching skills. He will discuss where to stand, how to feed and the games to play when teaching tennis to students. Sessions will happen every 2 weeks from 2-3 on Thursdays. Show interest here
