Tennis at UCL Term 2 2025-26

We’re back for Term 2!
There are plenty of opportunities to get involved with tennis this term — whether that’s competing in matches and leagues, volunteering, developing your coaching skills through workforce learning, or joining our beginner and intermediate coaching sessions.
Social Leagues
Joining a league is a great way to play a sport you love, meet new people and get some friendly competition, all without having to commit to training or go far from campus.
In term 2 we are offering a number of 2 Tennis Ladder Leagues
- Tennis Ladder league 1| Saturdays 2-6pm | Somers Town Community Sports Centre
- Tennis Ladder league 2 | Sunday 3-7pm | Somers Town Community Sports Centre
Social Tournaments
In term 2 we are hosting a number of social tournaments:
- Social Doubles Tennis Tournament | 1 February | Lee Valley Tennis Centre
- Play your way to Wimbledon | 22nd | Finsbury Park

- Tennis (Pay and Play)
Pay and Play Tennis sessions are designed for anyone to turn up to some courts and borrow rackets and balls to have a hit with friends. Click here
- Masterclass (Pay and Play)
Tennis Masterclass sessions are weekly and focus on a specific shot each week and is aimed at all levels- helping students and staff get more confident in their ability. Click here
Tennis Volunteering / coaching
Pickleball volunteering at Haverstock school. Delivering a pickleball club for year 7 + 8 students with the support of Sam Bracken a level 3 qualified tennis coach and qualified teacher. Date TBC- Join the whatsapp group here
Play your way to Wimbledon at Finsbury park. Organising a LTA event for junior players and adult players who will compete in both singles and doubles. Date TBC
Blind tennis competition- Join the World Number 1 Blind tennis player at Globe lawn tennis club and organise a warm up event for the Australian open. Date TBC
Coaching the coach- Join Sam Bracken, who leads you to improve your tennis coaching skills. He will discuss where to stand, how to feed and the games to play when teaching tennis to students. Click here to get your free tickets
