Welcome to TeamUCL Leagues, the home of social sport at UCL

Registering your team

The first step to being a great captain is to secure your team's place in the league:

  • When we announce the leagues for the term ahead, rally your players together and confirm which league you want to enter (and your team name!). Keep an eye on our website and social media for these dates.
  • When team entries open, make sure to sign up quick as some of our leagues sell out on the same day.
  • There are various payment options to give you flexibility - you can pay in full and collect money from players in the way that suits you; you can pay the deposit and send a payment link to your players; and if you are a club or society you can pay directly with your group funds.*

*Please note to pay by group funds, the registration needs to be done by the president or treasurer, or they can email us to approve the spending.

Code of Conduct & Safety

As a captain, you are responsible for your team, please make sure you have followed the following steps:

  • Anyone that plays for your team must fill out the Player Registration Form - even if they only play once. Ahead of the first game, you need to make sure you have at least the minimum number of players (e.g. 8 players for an 8-a-side Football League) registered to your team.
  • Make sure you've read and understand the league specific rules and shared with all of your players. All players must adhere to the Code of Conduct - players or teams can be removed from the league if this is not followed.

Administrative Responsibilities

It is your responsibility to get a team to each fixture and log your results:

  • When the league is created you'll receive an invite to create an account on Playwaze. You'll be able to see fixtures, results and the league table on this platform.
  • Note down the season dates - make sure you have enough players available each week and that your players are aware of any weeks with no fixtures.
  • If your team are unable to attend a fixture, please email us or message in the whatsapp chat. If you give us enough notice we can try and swap fixtures, but this is depedenent on the league structure, other teams' availability and the notice you've given.
  • Whenever you are the 'home' team, you'll need to upload your results on Playwaze within 24 hours of the fixture.

Go above and beyond

Why not go the extra mile for your team! Here's some ideas to take your team to the next level:

  • Promote your team - if you're a department or society, makes sure you are using exisiting channels to celebrate your team.
  • Engage with us on social media - please tag us @teamucl_leagues so we can share your content.
  • Get a team kit! Get in touch if you're interested in ordering kit with TeamUCL's official kit supplier, Akuma.
