Student life needs student leaders.
Will it be you?
Be part of the story.

Our key aim is to motivate and inspire all students to participate in this years Leadership Race - either by nominating themselves or voting - we want this year's Race to be the biggest yet. On this page, you will find our campaign theme, our communications plan, and a range of digital assets to support you in promoting the Leadership Race.

Campaign theme: Be part of the story

This year's campaign is 'Be part of the story'. The aim of this is to show students that the story of student life has been written by generations of student leaders for the last 130 years.

We will use a wide range of student stories to reflect the diversity of who a student leader can be, and the impact they have. We want all students to feel proud to belong to a community of student leaders and changemakers. We want to empower students to apply for leadership positions and/or vote and add to the collective voice of past and present student leaders at UCL. We want to show how all actions, big and small, have a lasting impact on the story of student life at UCL.

Leadership Race Communication Plan

We've broken down the different stages in communications plan in the table below. Please refer to this when sending out any communications during the Leadership Race and seeing how you can tie your messaging and calls to action into the wider campaign. (This won't work for all departments or all pieces of communication but should be used as a general rule of thumb).
