A Showcase of Performances by Student Community Projects

Music! Dance! Volunteering!

Did you know you can create and run your own community project? Well you can! Whether your thing is engineering, befriending, eye health or cheerleading, there's a project for you, all led by students.

This showcase will spotlight some of our performance-based community projects, including: 

BollyBop

Their aim is to spread joy through the art of Bollywood dance to children at local primary schools, aged between 3-11 years old. Their sessions foster creativity and cultural appreciation. This project helps children to stay active and build confidence, all whilst making it a fun and unforgettable experience.

Music Society Outreach 

The UCL Music Society Outreach Project brings together talented student musicians, allowing them to share their love for music with our London community. Working closely with our charity partners, they have performed at fundraising events, in hospitals, and at older adults’ and children’s centres. They believe in the power of music in inspiring expression and improving wellbeing.

Salsa Society Outreach

The Salsa Outreach Project works across local community centres and has partnered with organisations such as Age UK to share the joy, connection, and confidence that dance can bring across generations. Our student volunteers are specially trained by a professional instructor to teach salsa to different age groups, united by a mission to make dance joyful and accessible for everyone.
