BUCS Surfing Championships 2025-26

Please don't book a ticket unless you've confirmed with Adam you are competing!

Compete in Newquay, Cornwall this easter to represent UCL up against every UK university. 

Important details:

• Accommodation: Smarties Guesthouse
• Transport: coach travel depart from Student Centre 08:00 on 16/04/26, return late 19/04/26
• Equipment: bring own surfboards / wetsuits, however we can rent in Newquay if required (not included)
• Cost: free entry fee, accommodation and transport for all 16 competitors

How to compete:

• Team selection will occur shortly, decided by the president and vice president 
• Message Adam on WhatsApp (+44 7983 413686) to tell him you are available and want to compete
• Then you will register on BUCS play
• registration deadline: 24/03/26

Should I compete?

• If you consider yourself an intermediate or higher surfer, we would love to have you compete for us - don't be intimidated by the idea of competing, there are many universities in the UK further from water than we are!

What if I don't want to compete?

• you're welcome to join us on the provided coach down to Cornwall, we will have some room. However, you will have to book your own accommodation. Let Adam or any other committee member know if you're interested in doing this and we can help.
