New to the Plant-Based Universities campaign, or curious about getting involved? This session is for you. No experience needed, just an interest in helping make UCL a more sustainable, compassionate place to eat. Free food provided!
Plant-Based Universities is a student-led campaign urging universities to move to fully plant-based catering, in response to the climate crisis, biodiversity loss and the suffering of animals in our food system. Universities are powerful institutions with huge purchasing power and cultural influence, and students are the ones who can push them to change.
In this session we'll:
- Get to know the campaign: where it came from, what it's achieved so far, and how it works
- Explore what a plant-based UCL could look like, and who and what we'd need to shift to get there
- Map out a strategy together, sharing ideas and deciding on first steps
- Meet other people at UCL who care about the same things, and find your place in the team
Come along to learn, ask questions, and help shape the plan. Whether you're vegan, vegetarian, or just interested, you're welcome, and you'll be well fed.
